Airport transfer
The easiest way into the city centre is with the Airlink 747 bus. It stops at several central places in the city and is only €6 one-way or €10 return.
Public transportation
A 72-hour pass for the public transport system is only €19.50 and includes not only a return journey on the Airlink 747 bus but also unlimited travel on the Luas, DART and Dublin city centre buses.
Tech & WiFi
Remember to pack or buy a standard three-point UK/Ireland power adaptor to keep your technology powered up! Free WiFi can be found around the city.
Weather
Dublin's weather can be described as moist and interchangeable. Winds and driving rain are relatively normal in winter months. Waterproof jackets (or even better, onesies!), wellies and warm layers such as a fleece. Our advice would be to go in summer when it is more pleasant and you won’t get too wet drinking your Guinness outside.
Tipping
There isn't a strong tipping culture in Dublin but if you have had particularly good service you can leave anywhere between 10-15% of the bill when eating out in Dublin’s restaurants. Take care to check your bill as some places add on a service charge (usually 12.5%), especially if you're in a large group.
Safety
Dublin is generally considered a safe city but like most other European capitals, be sure to look after your belongings.
