Generator

Only a few minutes by bike from the city center, staying at Generator is a beautifully Amsterdam experience, as the hostel sits right on one of the city's best parks.

The building used to be the zoological and health science department of the Amsterdam University, and the Generator team have kept this spirit alive (you'll see for yourself as you sip your cocktail in the former lecture hall!).

There are great views available from both shared and private rooms, and the walls are decorated with amazing "street" art from Kamp Horst collective.
