Public transportation
The Metro is efficient, air-conditioned (which is particularly helpful on those hot Spanish days!) and runs 24 hours on Saturday night. Single tickets from €2.15 each, but a much better bargain is a T10 ticket - 10 trips from €9.95.
Airport transfer
Taking the Aerobus is the best way from the airport to the city. The shuttle runs every five minutes and takes approximately 30 minutes. Single tickets start at €5.90.
Luggage

Safety
Barcelona is unfortunately well known as the pickpocketing capital. Always be alert and keep your valuables securely in front of you. Be especially wary on the subway platforms at Sants train station and Sagrada Família.
