José Avillez is one of Portugal’s most famous chefs, and if you are looking to splash out for one meal on your trip, make it this one. The food is a spread of international cuisine, but we recommend any of the seafood!

Overlooking the town hall, this tapas bar does excellent set meal deals – go for the one with dessert as well.

Nicknamed the seafood temple, it is well loved by visitors and locals alike. Get there early to avoid queuing, although the staff do their best to keep hungry punters happy, offering drinks to those standing in line.

Slightly more expensive than other places, it boasts of a modern Portuguese cuisine with delicious food.

Great food and Fado shows in the evening. Definitely a great spot!
