Stuart

Stuart spent the first years of his life in Edinburgh, where his grandfather would take him on Sunday walks through the Old Town and tell him stories about the city's characters like Deacon Brodie, Burke and Hare and Mary Queen of Scots. He and his family moved to South Africa when he was a young boy, returning to Scotland intermittently to visit his grandparents. He spent the past 15 years working as a newspaper journalist in South Africa and Argentina, before moving back to his roots in Edinburgh to pursue his dream of writing novels. When he's not guiding, Stuart will be out climbing Munros, watching caber tosses and trying to locate patches of sun to enjoy a little bit of "taps aff".
