The Bulldog

Created as a coffeeshop in 1975 before the hostel was added on a few years later, The Bulldog is a bit of an institution for backpackers coming to Amsterdam. Located right on a canal in Amsterdam's downtown area, the hostel has a well-earned reputation as a party hostel, as well as a lounge bar where people can smoke, and a great rooftop terrace that overlooks Amsterdam.
