A lifetime would not be enough to explore everything this city has to offer, but we can give you a few tips on where to start.
Ready to experience Paris? Start with our Free Tour of Paris, which gives you an overview of the city’s history and main attractions.
CDG Airport: The train RER B departs from CDG airport and goes to different stops in Paris like Gare du Nord or Saint Michel Notre Dame. It costs €10 and takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, the Roissybus connects you to metro station Opéra for €11.50 each way.
ORLY Airport: The Orlybus will take you to the metro station Denfert Rochereau for €8.7. Or take the Orlyval express train to Antony station. From there, you can get to the city center by train.
BEAUVAIS Airport: If you are travelling with Ryanair you will probably arrive at the Beauvais Airport. Beauvais is located an hour away from Paris. From Beauvais to Paris: Go to terminal 1 or 2 and take the shuttle to Porte Maillot (Metro 1). From Porte Maillot you can take the metro to the city centre or the shuttle from Pershing Parking. Shuttle costs about €17.
The Parisian public transport system comprises a huge metro network, buses and the RER, a train that connects the city center to neighboring towns.
If you will be using the public transport quite frequently then buy a book of 10 tickets for €14.90, it is much cheaper and quicker to get around.
