Airport transfer
Transport from the airport is easiest and cheapest with the Metro. For €5, you can get to the centre of Madrid in 12 minutes.
Public transportation
Public transport tickets are available between one and seven days, with prices starting at €8.40 for one day in Zone A.
Tipping
Tipping in Madrid is not obligatory but very much welcomed.
Safety
Madrid is generally very safe, though pickpockets do tend to target visitors in touristy areas.
