Beer Tour: Best!!!
Travelling alone can sometimes be daunting but join one of the Sandeman’s tours! I chose the beer tour because I thought it’d be super social and, well, BEER! I was not disappointed. Other guests were chatty and engaging and from a variety of home locations as well as age groups (being in my 40s I was a little worried that I’d be stuck with a group of university kids keen on just getting drunk). Our guide was Marck and he was fantastic. Super knowledgeable about beer itself as well as the historical and cultural importance of the beverage. I went hoping to be social and have a few beers (check, check) and came away with a wealth of knowledge and appreciation for a tasty treat!
This beer tour is a must for a lot of reasons
1) you get your money's worth. It's not just a couple of little beer tasters so do not worry about that
2) It's not a lot of walking and the route is well planned
3) You visit spots that you can later revisit for lunch or dinner
4) The guides are awesome!

The Berlin beer tour is absolutely exceptional, and our guide Marck was absolutely fantastic - friendly, relaxed and thoroughly knew his stuff. It was a unique way to really delve into the history of an important aspect of German life, and so much fun. I learnt so much about the beer making process and Germany and had an absolute blast!
We had a wonderful time this evening with Leon exploring the Berlin beer scene. Nothing like an Irishman teaching you to drink beer probably in Berlin! He did a wonderful job encouraging people to talk and get to know each other but also taking time himself to talk to everyone on the tour. He shared great insights over our four different stops and answered questions thoughtfully. The tour was very relaxed but still structured enough that it wasn’t chaos. I have been on many brewery tours and beer tours but this still wasn’t boring. Definitely a worthwhile tour if you enjoy beer and want to get to know Berlin better on a drinking level.
We did the tour on our last night in Berlin as a fun way to end the trip, but wish we’d done it sooner as found some amazing bars through it. Our tour guide, Marck, was brilliant. Very insightful, funny and full of great tips. Definitely worth the money - lots of fun, history and, of course, beer.
We went on the 3 hour beer tour on our first night in Berlin after reading the other reviews. Fantastic evening with a brilliant tour guide Paolo who was a great laugh & provided lots of informative facts about beer & German culture. We visited 3 different places & tried a number of beers & had a large pretzel in the last brewery. The best part of the evening was meeting other people from all over the world, it really made the tour. Great to see parts of the city we may never have found, well worth doing this at the beginning of your trip. Definitely recommend it, worth every penny.
